The Biomotion Lab is accepting new Graduate Students
The BioMotionLab is accepting new Graduate students in Fall 2010. Our
lab is researching visual perception as it relates to the visual
recognition of objects, animals and people. Understanding the underlying
perceptual and neural processes required to study how sensory information
needs to be represented by biological and artificial information
processing systems. Currently, most of the projects in the lab are
concerned with the perception of biological motion, but Dr. Troje’s
BioMotionLab is also studying many other visual phenomena. Its
repertoire of methods includes quantitative psychophysics, brain
imaging, virtual realities, computer animation, computer vision, pattern
recognition, and machine learning. In addition to students with a
Psychology background, trainees in the BioMotionLab come from
Neuroscience, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering.
Graduate programs that may fit your interests include the Brain,
Behaviour and Cognitive Science program of the Department of Psychology,
the Neuroscience program of the Centre for Neuroscience Studies, and the
graduate programs of the School of Computing.
